Ever wonder how the passing standard is set for the GPC Exam? As part of the Exam Development process and beta testing, GPCI is calibrating the passing score as it relates to the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for mastery level grant professionals. Join us as part of the Standard Setting workgroup and be part of the conversation!

This opportunity is open to both new and experienced GPCs. The workgroup will reflect the diversity of the grant professional community inclusive of practice setting, discipline, geography, highest degree earned, gender, ethnicity, and more. Successful participants are collaborative, consensus building, research oriented, and familiar with the peer review process. No experience in exam development is necessary, as training is provided.

Meetings will be conducted remotely via web-based conferences in April/May. Members must be available for approximately five web-based conference calls, each lasting approximately one hour. Work outside these conference calls may include reviewing and revising any assigned projects as necessary.

Due to the nature of the activities involved, members of this workgroup:

  • Cannot participate in any grant training activities, especially those related to teaching in preparation for, or to pass the GPC Exam, for at least 5 years following the end of their service.
  • Cannot be a current member of the GPCI Board of Directors.
  • Are not eligible to sit for the GPC Exam for at least 3 years following the end of their service.

GPCs will receive CEUs upon completion of their volunteer time.

If you would like to share your time and talents in helping to advance the GPC Credential, we invite you to join us for this important part of the exam development process!

Interested candidates need to complete the following before the April 11, 2025 at 11 pm ET deadline:

Please note: completion of the survey or submitting the above items does not guarantee your selection and/or inclusion on the workgroup. GPCI will select a variety of individuals to meet our requirements – ensuring our professional field is appropriately represented.

Thank you for your interest in helping to advance the GPC Credential.
