Mastering the Art of Test Taking: Strategies for Adult Learners is a practical and interactive learning session designed to help adult learners improve confidence, reduce anxiety, and perform more effectively on exams. The course addresses common challenges faced by adult test-takers and emphasizes self-awareness, mindset, and individualized preparation strategies. Learners explore effective study techniques, memory tools, and time-management strategies tailored to different test formats. The course also focuses on managing stress, analyzing test questions critically, and pacing during exams. By the end, learners develop a personalized test-taking toolkit they can apply to academic, workforce, or certification assessments. GPCI does not endorse or promote any particular test taking strategies. Participation in this training does not guarantee a pass on the GPC test.
Monique Anair, EdD is an educator, researcher, and workforce development leader with over 25 years of experience supporting adult learners in higher education and non‑credit workforce training. She currently serves as Director of Workforce Development at Santa Fe Community College, where she leads state and federally funded programs designed to help adults persist, complete, and succeed in education and career pathways. Through her teaching and research, Dr. Anair empowers adult learners to build confidence, develop effective learning strategies, and navigate academic and professional assessments successfully.
