AEP Firesides: Are you a grant trainer? Learn how you can provide GPC education credits for your students. GPCI’s Accepted Education Program (AEP) helps individuals looking for training on the GPCI grant competencies find training providers. You do not need to be a GPC in order to participate and get your upcoming trainings approved for education credits. Volunteering with GPCI: What to Know Before You Begin

This session provides an overview of the different volunteer roles available with the Grant Professionals Certification Institute (GPCI) and the responsibilities associated with each. Participants will learn why volunteering with a credentialing organization is both meaningful and impactful, as well as the expectations and standards that guide this work. We will also review the Conflict of Interest (COI) form, explain its purpose, and outline common situations that may create conflicts. Because credentialing organizations have specific requirements to ensure fairness and integrity, the session will highlight what potential volunteers should be aware of before getting started. By the end, attendees will have a clear understanding of the volunteer process, the importance of the COI form, and how to determine whether a role with GPCI is the right fit for them.
