HOST THE EXAMINATION
In November 2007, GPCI administered the first GPC credential examination. While we anticipate the exam will be administered each year in conjunction with the AAGP conference, it has never been our intent to limit its reach to that single event. In fact, the GPCI Board of Directors is committed to conferring this national credential to as many qualified grant professionals as possible – regardless of their professional affiliation or ability to attend an AAGP conference.

To do so, we must reach beyond the national or even regional conference format. AAGP chapters offer the most obvious avenue for expansion of our test administration capabilities, but there are other professional groups that may be interested in the GPC, as well.

Therefore, we will accept proposals from organizations that want to host a test administration in their local area. A brief list of Test Site Responsibilities is available here as well as the Test Site Selection Criteria (and form). These two documents will help you determine your organization’s capacity for administering the examination, as well as guide your early planning.

And don’t worry! GPCI will support you throughout the process. We realize the exam is our responsibility, and we take that seriously. We also believe it is critical to involve additional grant professionals in the administration to ensure widespread, national use of the credential.
